About the Library
Volunteering at the Library
volunteer application

Would you like to be involved? The Brighton District Library has many opportunities for volunteering. Some examples of how we use volunteer help are: gardening, helping with book sales, shelf reading, processing books & materials, and many more! If you would like to be a volunteer you will need to do three things:

We are in great need of Adult Shelf Readers!

The Youth Services Summer Junior Volunteer program is full.
If you are under 18 and would like to volunteer in Teen Services, click here.

  • Adults: Fill out an application (available online)
  • Participate in an interview so that we can find a place for you that matches your interests and skills.

If you have any questions, please call Diana Dart, Community Relations at 810-229-6571, x211. Thank you for your interest in the Brighton District Library!
